Thank you for your interest in serving on the Nevada Bar Foundation Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for management of the Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program in Nevada, including the making of annual grants to organizations that promote access to justice through direct legal services to the poor, to victims of domestic violence and to children protected by or in need of protection of the juvenile court. The Foundation makes annual grants in excess of $3 million. Service on the NBF Board of Trustees includes management of IOLTA funding; building relationships among Nevada’s banking and business community; engaging in fundraising efforts; and carrying out policies consistent with the Foundation’s mission and goals.
The Board of Trustees has two in person meetings per year and engages in telephonic Board and in-person stakeholder meetings as needed; the average time commitment is 8-12 hours per year.
